    My proshop guy said you could simply use Rubbing Alcohol to clean a reactive ball. This doesn't seem likely to me since that has oil in it. Can this work?

    This is a much better video compared to the one made a few years back on this channel. The previous video on how to increase revs was very demoralizing by essentially telling bowlers "if you don't start young your SOL." Even if that wasn't the intent, that certainly was the message that was perceived by many to be conveyed. I think people realize after a certain point physical limitations correlated with aging impacts their ability to perform certain tasks but they do not need to be told that. This video, on the other hand, just sticks to the topic at hand and does a great job. Thank you for releasing an updated video on this topic without the negativity.

    I'm going to work on implementing this. I've worked a lot to migrate my balance arm from flailing around out left to now being down and out in front of my body. But my thumb is still pointed up. If I'm in a competitive situation I have a tendency to feel tense, and my body locks up and pulls the ball a lot. For years I tried everything to fix this, and nothing helped. Finally I realized that by focusing not on my arm swing, but on the position of my left hand, I execute great shots. Because I can't tense up and pull the ball, while getting my balance arm out where it should be. I think getting my thumb pointed down instead of up will help take things to next level.

    if you lose oil at front..it does carry down..if it simply got lost on front ball would hook early and go high,not hook one time and skid the next..you are getting carry down and can not trust reactive ball.

    NBA… For some reason when I release the ball I’ve been getting a “Double Bounce” on the lane, What causes this, I’m not trying to over throw the shot, or is it okay that this happen? Even though it’s not about this segment of ball speed… Appreciate your reply , Thanks Jim

    What if i'm a low rev player? Right now i'm using a Supra Rally which is polished at 5500 and It barely hooks for me. I average around 14-15mph but it'll hook just a little bit since I don't put much spin on the ball. Will sanding the shine off help with my low revs?

  • @sdafasdfsagasfesa298

    What are the variables you should be looking for to tell whether or not a ball is going to work for someone and not for another? I'd imagine how well they approach the lane, if they drift, their stability, how accurate their throw is, and I'm sure how fast and how powerful their throw is. Unfortunately the local boys over here make it pretty clear they hate their jobs, so I doubt I'll get any local hands on help, so I'm left to figuring it out for myself. Which is fine with me, I can typically adjust how I do something to be more efficient and effective.

    • @NationalBowlingAcademy
      @NationalBowlingAcademy 2 месяца назад

      Great question! When being a member you could ask our expert. It is mentioned in this video. What I have found in bowling terminology is: Leaving the “Big Four” is when a bowler leaves the 4-6-7-10. Bowlers can get “tapped” when a bowler throws a ball they think should strike but doesn't, and can leave a “Stone nine” or “Stone eight” which is when a bowler throws a ball they think is good but leave the eight or nine pin. Good Luck. Thanks for reaching out.
